A graduate from renowned music school Humber College, Steve has training in virtually every aspect of music. His instrumental abilities are vast and include such specialized talent with brass, strings, winds and drums. Using his learned theory practices and a keen ear for quality, Steve possesses an ability to create amazing sounds and unique music.
Steve owns and operates Heritage Recording Studios in Burlington, Ontario. Having worked with major names in the industry such as Thin Lizzy, The Supremes, CJ Lewis, Rozella, Suzie Quatro, E.L.O., and Lennigrad Cowboys to name a few, Steve has earned a reputation for dynamic and subtle nuances to his projects that compare to none.
The world is the stage for Steve Ashley, and he has engaged much of it by touring with various Top 40 bands and country music acts in places across North America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. This enabled him to work with talented artists like Adam Gregory, who went on to receive a contract from Sony Records.
Hunting McLeod is a band of particular interest with Steve. It provides an outlet and a presence to the masses of his abilities as a performer. Proudly standing alongside peers of high calibre talent, Steve plays with soul-bearing expressiveness and distinction.
